European Import Coordinator

Job Title: European Road Freight Import Operator
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: £32,000

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30-17:00

We are currently recruiting for a European Road Freight Import Operator to join an Italian-owned freight forwarding group based in Grays, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing logistics business specialising in the movement of designer fashion wear and retail goods across Europe.

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import process for European road freight shipments. This is a hands-on operational role where attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple consignments simultaneously are essential.

You will be working closely with overseas partners, suppliers, customs agents, and UK-based customers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of high-value fashion and retail cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the full import lifecycle for European road freight shipments
Coordinating collections, customs clearance, and final delivery
Liaising with European partners, agents, and hauliers
Processing import documentation accurately and efficiently
Tracking and updating customers on shipment progress
Resolving any operational issues quickly and effectively
Ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements
Providing a high level of service to fashion and retail clientsAbout You:

Experience in European road freight imports (essential)
Strong understanding of import customs procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Experience within fashion, retail, or high-value cargo (desirable)What's on Offer:
