Would you love to be part of a professional engineering team that maintains and repairs a modern and varied fleet of vehicles?

You would be part of our evening Shunting team in charge of

- Fuelling every vehicle every night

- Recording and filling the Adblue aftertreatment system.

- Collecting vehicle defect cards.

- Sweeping the vehicles when they come into the depot.

- Operating the bus wash ensuring the vehicles are clean ready for the next day of service.

- Using brushes to clean the wheels.

- Checking and recording engine oil levels.

Stagecoach Cumbria & Lancashire operates 440 vehicles over 6 sites and our West Cumbria team are looking for people from a background in vehicle Cleaning and fuelling To be part of our growing team. You may be in a truck / HGV, rail, light commercial or automotive setting at the moment, but fancy a change of vehicles.

Likewise, if you’ve got PCV experience, you’ll still find new opportunities to learn given the variety of our fleet.

Our West Cumbria depot operates a varied range of vehicles from minibuses and Double Deckers on a daily basis, we operate Alexander Dennis, Scania, Mercedes and Optare vehicles.

You’ve probably seen some of our vehicles driving around West Cumbria and surrounding area, transporting our fantastic customers across the Cumbria & other parts of the Country.

Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are!

Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team.
