We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Event and Bar Manager to join our team at The Brewery. The Brewery is an award winning venue in the heart of City of London, from the extravagant to the discreet events, for hundreds of customers or for a handful. We pride ourselves on a faultless service from the moment an enquiry is made through to follow up meetings post event. We have 9 rooms within The Brewery Venue and 3 rooms within our new Grubstreet Author venue and are still expanding. The venue holds up to 1800 guests. As an Event and Bar Manager you will operationally manage and run all the bar functions, all aspects associated with beverage requirements for events & support and run events as a manager of the whole event. The Event & Bar Manager is responsible for the beverage P&L and must work towards set percentages, with a revenue of £3 million. The role includes managing and monitoring stock control, including working with specific suppliers. The Event & Bar Managers role is to ensure that every event is delivered to the highest standard and to ensure that the bar service expectations of the organiser and guests are exceeded. The Event & Bar Manager will be supporting in running large events from food service, dietaries and floor duties and running small events as a lone Event Manager which will also require you to run bars and having full liaison with clients. You must also ensure that all bar associates are involved in the associate training programme, through the use of regular training and coaching sessions. This role is purely operational . Strong food and beverage experience is essential. The job will involve : Building up the top line revenue by focusing on beverage sales. Ensure all selling and purchasing pricing are accurate to meet sales targets and all beverage on sale are up to date with market trends. Liaising with Head of Event Delivery & Events Director on the sales and forecast for all functions including cash wine events. Supporting and ensuring stock takes are being carried out on a monthly basis and all reports are sent to the Head of Finance. Ensure all stock is ordered correctly according to the event needs and stock control is monitored closely. Updating, managing and monitoring all beverage menus, including wine menus, both package and cash wine lists, cocktail menus, spirits, beers and soft drinks. Overseeing the online pre ordering system and the QR code ordering system on event days. Checking and monitoring that all beverages are prepared and served according to company standards within statutory regulations, maintaining customer satisfaction at all times. Ensuring that all the correct beverage pre order requirements are delivered on event days. We are looking for a passionate, customer focused individual with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive, can do attitude. You will need excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for detail and the ability to use your own initiative.
