Event Manager

ChefLab are a catering and events company based inside Victoria Warehouse. We have a wealth of knowledge and skills to ensure that every aspect of an event runs smoothly.
We're currently recruiting for a talented full time Event Manager to join the team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to work directly for an established company, as well as furthering their career in the events industry. We have a proven track record in managing diverse events from weddings, large-scale gatherings (up to 4000), street food vendor festivals (e.g. We Are Festival), and corporate events (e.g. Coca Cola, Microsoft & Redbull). We also provide external venues and events with our culinary offerings.
A bit about you:

You will have a proven track record of managing diverse events and gatherings.
You have strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You are creative, detail-orientated and have a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
You are willing to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
You have experience of working in a kitchen environment and are confident in working with a variety of allergies and dietary requirements.
Have a sound knowledge on computer systems such as Excel, Microsoft Teams and TripleSeat, or the ability to pick up systems quickly.
You have a drivers license and form of transport.
You are the type of person who enjoys a hands on position and is eager to get stuck in.
The role:

Help in the planning, coordination, and execution of food and event set up.
Supervise and guide event staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Help oversee the operations of our external food service arm, coordinating with partner venues to deliver culinary offerings.
Manage ordering for events, including crockery, linen, and other necessary supplies.
Create rotas and book agency staff as needed.
Conduct end-of-night reporting for the wider team.
Liaising with the VW Sales Team and keeping on top of emails and enquiries.
Presenting menu tasting to potential and current clients.
Create table plans for dinners and manage dietary requirements.
Provide administrative support for the Head chef, including updates on FOH stock.
Maintain and organise FOH areas, ensuring well maintained and presentable.
