Join a luxury team at a 5-star luxury hotel, based in Ascot, set across 240 acres of beautiful parkland, where delivering exceptional guest experiences is at the heart of everything they do. As an Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Events Operations team, ensuring our guests receive the highest standards of luxury service.
Must be a driver for this position and worked within a 5 star hotel setting! Great salary with amazing annual service charge.
Your Responsibilities Lead, motivate and support the Events Operations team to deliver excellent service.
Make sure event spaces are set up correctly and ready for guests.
Be visible and hands-on, leading by example and supporting your team during events.
Deliver luxury food and beverage service across the hotel and its beautiful grounds, including events, private dining and picnics.
Communicate confidently with guests and provide a personalised service.
Deal with guest feedback and complaints professionally, always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.
Hold daily team briefings and make sure everyone understands the day’s events and responsibilities.
Work closely with the Events, Sales, Food & Beverage and Culinary teams to ensure smooth communication.
Manage staffing, rotas and agency staff according to business needs.
Train and develop team members, carry out performance reviews and support their career development.
Ensure all back-of-house, storage and preparation areas are clean, organised and maintained to a high standard.
Manage stock, ordering, billing and cashiering accurately.
Monitor costs, payroll and departmental spending to help achieve financial targets.
Encourage teamwork across all hotel departments and create a positive working environment.
Ensure company standards and procedures are followed at all times.
What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a similar Events or Food & Beverage management role.
Experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel.
Hotel school qualification or equivalent experience.
Good knowledge of food and wine.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train, motivate and develop a team.
Good problem-solving and complaint-handling skills.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of managing costs.
A hands-on, positive and creative approach to hospitality.
