Job Description - Event Sous Chef

We are recruiting an
Events Sous Chef | £40k per annum.
45 hour week, Monday
Friday, with the occasional weekend shifts. Variable shift patterns. A busy events kitchen preparing high quality food for multiple events.
The ideal Sous Chef will have experience in a quality Events Kitchen, or a top-end B&I operation and have great presence, personality, communication skills but above all, a love of good food.
Main duties:
Organise & manage a small Brigade in the preparation of high-quality dishes according to our recipes and standards.
Execute cooking techniques with precision, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively.
Supporting and guiding the brigade to ensure timely and efficient service.
Contribute to menu development.
Communicate effectively and maintain a positive work environment to foster teamwork.
Adhere to Company food hygiene and safety policies.
Assist with food ordering and stock management.
About You
Minimum 2 years experience in a high-end, high volume events or restaurant.
Demonstrable craft skills across all sections of the kitchen
Impeccable attention to detail.
Familiar with using fresh seasonal ingredients.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
Motivated, committed, and flexible.
