Events & Conferences Specialist

Contract: Full-time, 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Team: Marketing & Business Development, EMEA

Office Location: London, UK

The role:

As a key member of our Marketing & Business Development Department, you will support with a variety of virtual and in-person events across the EMEA region. This will include client briefings, conferences, sponsorships, receptions, and networking events. You'll support the Events Manager in maintaining and overseeing the firm’s events calendar, ensuring all activities align with our strategic goals and brand identity.

What your day will look like:

• End-to-end management of external and internal events, from initial planning to post-event analysis
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define event objectives, negotiate with vendors, manage registration, pre- and post-event communications, registration, logistics, and ensure seamless event execution
• Measure and report on event effectiveness, managing budgets and tracking ROI metrics
• Support broader marketing and business development initiatives to achieve event-related goals
• Maintain the firm’s central EMEA events calendar and manage event processes across various platforms (e.g., event management and email marketing tools, webcast platform, CRM system)
• Occasional ad-hoc travel.

What we are looking for:

Essential criteria:

• Experience in event management, preferably within legal or professional services environments
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders globally
• Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, ON24), email marketing platform (e.g., Marketo) CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results

Preferred criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related fields is preferred
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and flexible with travel and schedule adjustments
• Familiarity with immigration or professional services marketing is beneficial
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Additional language skills are advantageous

What to expect:

• If shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in our interview process, which will consist of at least two stages, one of which will be conducted in-person. Depending on the role, you may also be required to complete a written assessment.
