The Role
Davies runs and attends a range of industry events & conferences every year to grow and raise the profile of the business and its services in the insurance & highly regulated markets – and we’re searching for an enthusiastic Events Assistant to join a fast-growing marketing & communications department.
The Events Assistant will work closely with the divisional marketing teams and support the Events & Partnerships Manager to execute 100+ events across the UK & Europe annually. The role will require excellent organisational and communication skills, strong client facing skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Support the Events & Partnerships Manager the events calendar for Davies in the UK & Ireland Liaise with divisional sales and leadership teams to oversee logistics for internally hosted events & industry conferences Research relevant industry events, venues & partnership opportunities Produce design briefs and work with the design team on invitations, printed collateral & conference displays Put together & distribute invitations, collect and report on RSVPs Own relationships with event organisers, venues & suppliers Contribute ideas & approaches on how to bring concepts & key messages to life through an event Manage booking and reservation processes Work with the divisional marketing teams to create content and collateral for events Sourcing and visiting event venues Attend and be on-site for events throughout the UK
Skills & Experience
Excellent organisational and communication skills Previous experience in a similar role is essential and knowledge of the insurance industry beneficial Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills Able to manage own projects and workload The ability to meet deadlines and multitask
