The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Exam Access Arrangements Assessor to join our Additional Learning Support team. In this important role, you will be responsible for assessing and identifying appropriate Exam Access Arrangements (EAAs) for students, ensuring compliance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and helping learners demonstrate their knowledge, skills and understanding on a fair and equitable basis. Working closely with students, curriculum teams, SEND/ALS colleagues and the Exams Team, you will carry out specialist assessments, make evidence-based recommendations and support the effective implementation of arrangements that remove barriers to achievement.

As part of a student-focused and collaborative team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment services through the accurate management of records and documentation, the provision of expert advice and guidance, and the maintenance of high standards of compliance and data protection. Your work will play a key role in supporting positive student outcomes and ensuring learners receive the adjustments they need to succeed.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a suitably qualified professional with experience of working within a Further Education environment, particularly in relation to SEND and inclusion. You will have a strong understanding of assessment processes and the ability to analyse, evaluate and synthesise assessment findings to make well-informed recommendations that support student achievement.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident working to demanding deadlines without compromising quality. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with students, colleagues and external stakeholders. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, including occasional evening work when required, along with a commitment to delivering an outstanding service that supports learners to reach their full potential.
