Philosophy Education is working in partnership with a secondary school based in Rochester, Kent, to recruit an experienced and highly organised Examinations Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced examinations professional looking to take responsibility for the coordination and administration of all internal and external examinations across a secondary school.
The Role
As Examinations Manager, you will oversee the effective and efficient delivery of the school's examination processes, ensuring all examinations are managed in accordance with awarding body regulations and strict deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing all internal and external examination processes throughout the academic year Processing examination entries and electronically submitting information to examination boards Preparing examination and invigilation timetables, including mock and public examinations Liaising with Heads of Department, the SENCO, Senior Leadership Team and examination boards Coordinating access and special examination arrangements Managing the security and distribution of examination papers and scripts Organising and coordinating results days Managing post-results queries, re-mark requests, appeals and missing marks Recruiting, coordinating and supporting examination invigilators Monitoring the examinations budget and associated expenditureThe Successful Candidate
We are looking for a calm, methodical and highly organised individual who is confident working independently and managing strict deadlines.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience working within examinations or a school environment Strong knowledge of examination boards and examination procedures Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent ICT skills, including Word, Excel and email Knowledge of SIMS or the ability to learn new systems quickly Experience using examination board software and/or the SIMS Exams module is desirableThe successful candidate will join a supportive secondary school with modern, purpose-built facilities, free onsite parking and a strong commitment to staff development, wellbeing and career progression.
