Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4.


• Guide students through GCSE History coursework and exam preparation.


• Incorporate diverse historical perspectives and source analysis into lessons.


• Work alongside the department to enhance the History curriculum with contemporary research.


• Support extracurricular activities such as historical debates, museum visits, and research projects.


• Develop and manage historical research projects.


• Organize and lead historical site visits.


• Maintain and manage History department resources and equipment.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.


• Contribute to the development and implementation of History department policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in History or a related field.


• PGCE or QTS.


• Experience teaching History up to KS4.


• Ability to participate in school historical events and activities.


• Strong commitment to fostering historical understanding and critical thinking.
