This one-year fixed-term contract, commencing in September, offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Physics teacher to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development & Delivery: Play a key role in developing and delivering a stimulating Physics curriculum for students across various age groups (potentially KS3, KS4 and/or KS5) that aligns with national standards and ignites student interest.
Engaging Instruction: Craft captivating Physics lessons that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for scientific exploration. Utilize innovative teaching methods to make physics concepts engaging and accessible for all learners.
Student Assessment & Progress: Guide and assess student progress through effective feedback strategies, helping them reach their full potential.
Positive Learning Environment: Cultivate a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes well-being and fosters a love of science and critical thinking in students.
Collaboration & Professional Development: Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department to share best practices and continuously improve the Science curriculum. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to further refine your teaching skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physics (or Science with a Physics specialization).
- Minimum of one year's teaching experience in a secondary school setting, with a demonstrably strong track record (more experience is preferred).
- A deep understanding of Physics principles and a passion for scientific discovery that sparks curiosity and engagement in students.
- Proven ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
