Executive Assistant to the Director of Trust
Leicester
Office based
£35,000 - £40,000

We are working in partnership with a respected community-based organisation to recruit a Executive Assistant to the Director of Trust. This is a high-profile, fast-paced position offering a unique opportunity to directly support a senior leader driving impactful initiatives across strategy, governance, and community development.
This is much more than a traditional EA role. It combines classic executive support with public-facing hospitality, coordination of visitors, and involvement in governance-linked admin. It's ideal for someone organised, discreet, and confident juggling varied responsibilities with professionalism and warmth.

The role:

  • Deliver proactive, executive-level support to the Director of Trust including diary and inbox management, document handling, meeting prep and travel
  • Coordinate key meetings involving the Director, taking minutes and tracking actions to ensure follow-up
  • Organise hospitality and visitor arrangements for internal and external guest catering, room prep and welcoming duties
  • Assist with community-facing bookings such as hall hire, sports facilities, and event lettings
  • Accurately handle and reconcile cash payments related to bookings and community events
  • Maintain filing systems and departmental admin support structures
  • Collaborate closely with the Governance & Compliance Manager on overlapping tasks including bookings, service queries, and documentation
  • Act as a professional and confidential first point of contact for the Director’s office
  • Provide minute-taking and administrative support at key internal meetings as required

The candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting a senior leader or executive
  • Strong organisation and diary management skills
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with hospitality and visitor coordination
  • Reliable and accurate handling of financial transactions
  • Experience taking minutes and managing formal documentation
  • A team player with a collaborative, proactive mindset
  • Background in education, charity, or public sector environments
  • Experience working within governance or compliance settings
  • An understanding of or sensitivity toward faith-based or culturally diverse communities
  • Flexibility to start at 11am, finishing at 7pm on an ad-hoc basis

In return:

  • The opportunity to work closely with a senior leader in a strategic and people-focused organisation
  • A varied role combining professional admin with community service
  • A supportive team environment and opportunities for development
