Exercise Referral Instructor - Full Time - Marina Leisure Centre

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join our team at Freedom Leisure, one of the fastest growing and successful leisure and cultural trusts in the UK. We are seeking an innovative and inspirational management team to be instrumental part of our team at the new £26 million Marina Centre which opened in August 2022.

The Marina Centre, providing an exciting range of activities for residents and visitors alike. Including a leisure pool with two slides, fun splash zone, clip and climb, impressive fitness suite and exercise studios and sports hall providing a wide range of activities. The centre also boasts an amazing café overlooking the beach, providing a focal point for the community.

We are a not-for-profit leisure trust with we have a strong purpose and commitment to support our local communities and hard-to-reach groups encouraging them to become more active, contributing to improved lives. From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to deliver our Exercise Referral Scheme, so that the scheme can be monitored and evaluated effectively you will be working closely with the Fitness Manager.

We are looking for a flexible, Exercise Referral Instructor to provide support for the Referral Programme, giving advice on safe exercise prescription to clients and evaluating the results from the Programme. It is essential that you have an exercise referral qualification and ideally a first aid certificate and a certificate in defibrillation. We are looking for someone who is able to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity with strong customer service skills. Experience of working in a leisure related environment would be an advantage.

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday - Sunday

• Level 2 Fitness Qualification
• An Exercise Referral Qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Be a genuine team player and have a high level of responsibility, flexibility, enthusiasm and motivation
• Be able to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity
• Computer literacy
• First Aid at work (desirable)
• Defibrillation (desirable)
