Experienced Family Law Paralegal

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join the growing Family team of a well-established and respected law firm based in Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised legal professional looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive Family department, working closely with experienced Fee Earners and playing an important role in delivering a high-quality service to clients.

The Role

As a Family Law Paralegal, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Fee Earners within the Family team. You will take ownership of a varied range of responsibilities, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with the firm's standards and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing client matters efficiently and accurately using the Proclaim case management system.
• Preparing, organising and archiving legal files and supporting documentation.
• Managing diaries and arranging client appointments, meetings and other commitments for Fee Earners.
• Preparing client correspondence using audio typing, word processing and digital dictation.
• Handling telephone calls and enquiries from clients, solicitors and other third parties in a professional, approachable and timely manner.
• Managing incoming emails and post, alongside photocopying and general administrative duties.
• Preparing court documentation and assisting with e-bundling.
• Using the online divorce portal to upload documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Preparing client bills and maintaining accurate account ledgers.
• Providing additional support to fellow legal assistants and the wider management team as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a professional legal environment. You will ideally have previous experience within Family Law and be comfortable working in a busy team where accuracy, client care and attention to detail are essential.
