About the Role:

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently partnering with a reputable and long standing business based in Banbury.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to lead and develop a small transactional finance team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving process improvement, automation, and building a more commercially driven finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small transactional finance team (including AP and AR)
• Oversee and improve finance processes and automation initiatives
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, including AR, AP, and cashflow
• Take ownership of cashflow forecasting and duty payments related to imports and exports
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end duties
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with commercial teams to provide insight and financial guidance
• Over time, play a key role in supporting management accounts and more advanced reporting

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and challenge long-standing team members
• Excellent knowledge of transactional finance (AP/AR), reporting, and cashflow management
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage change effectively
• Experience with automation or finance system improvements is highly desirable
