We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our team on a full-time, maternity cover contract starting in June 2025.

Role Overview:

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting the academic and personal development of our students, and ensuring the classroom remains a positive and motivating space for learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is ready to step in and make a real impact for a fixed term, with potential opportunities for future roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that engage and challenge Year 4 students


• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary


• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning


• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each child


• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless approach to curriculum delivery


• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress


• Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and wider community

We are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


• A passion for working with children and supporting their development


• Strong classroom management skills and a creative approach to teaching


• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience is desirable, but not essential)


• A good understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment practices


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
