Export Advisor - International Trade

Your new company
A leading business membership organisation in London is launching a new export advisory service in partnership with a UK government department. We're seeking an experienced Export Adviser to help shape and deliver this exciting pilot initiative, aimed at supporting London-based businesses on their journey to becoming active international exporters.
This newly created position will provide high-level, tailored export advice to SMEs with an initial focus on the UAE market - a key and growing destination for UK trade. You'll work consultatively with clients to develop export strategies, provide market insights, and deliver in-depth reporting to support businesses as they expand internationally.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be:

• Provide one-to-one export advisory support to London-based companies.
• Deliver tailored export strategies and expert international trade advice.
• Conduct market research and analysis to support client decision-making.
• Produce structured export reports aligned with service standards.
• Identify opportunities to connect clients with wider business support services.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure continuity of support.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure service integration.
• Stay informed on export regulations, compliance, and global market trends.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in international trade advisory, market entry strategy, or export development.
• Strong understanding of export processes, trade compliance, and overseas markets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident working with SMEs and tailoring advice to a variety of business needs.
• Ideally, knowledge of the UAE or Middle Eastern markets.

What you'll get in return
This is a Fixed Term Contact, with the scope of going perm depending on how you progress in this role. Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office based in the heart of the City of London.
