Export and Import Sales Administrator – Sheffield – £34,000

Chase & Holland are working with a successful, innovative manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Export & Import Sales Administrator on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business, supporting its international sales, logistics and trade compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Process international sales orders from entry through to despatch and invoicing.
Prepare and manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with trade regulations.
Coordinate freight forwarders, couriers and international shipments.
Manage customs documentation, tariff codes, Incoterms and CDS requirements.
Arrange marine insurance and obtain freight quotations.
Maintain customer records, pricing, lead times and ERP system data.
Process quotations, invoices, credit notes and returns.
Monitor freight costs, transit times and operational KPIs.
Support month-end reporting and maintain accurate shipment records.
Keep up to date with international trade and customs regulations.
Skills & Experience:
 
Previous experience in export, import, logistics or sales administration.
Good knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures and export documentation.
Understanding of Incoterms, commodity codes, duties and VAT.
Experience using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations would be advantageous.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a team.
