An established organisation based in Alton, Hampshire is looking for an Export Compliance Officer to join its team.
This is a varied role with export compliance as the main focus, alongside some administration responsibilities.
The company is open to candidates with previous export or compliance experience, but would also consider someone with strong administration, communication and organisational skills who is keen to learn. Full training will be provided to the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with UK export legislation and maintain accurate compliance records. Review products and shipments to determine export classifications and licensing requirements. Apply for and maintain export licences and associated documentation. Maintain export records, shipment logs and End User Undertakings. Liaise with customers, suppliers, HMRC, freight forwarders and relevant authorities. Support commodity code and import duty classification. Provide guidance on export documentation, Incoterms and compliance requirements. Support quality activities including supplier reviews, customer requirements, audits, returns and quality records. Maintain company compliance registers, supplier records and certification documentation. Support sanctions and related compliance requirements.About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Confident with administration, documentation and record keeping. A strong communicator who can work with internal and external contacts. Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Keen to learn and develop specialist knowledge. Previous export compliance experience is desirable but not essential. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence, logistics, purchasing or a similar environment would be advantageous.On offer
Salary: circa £50k basic (with some flexibility depending on experience). Pension: 3% Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays + Christmas. Private medical scheme Working hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-2pm.Interested?
