Export Logistics Executive

Job Title: Exports Logistics Executive
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

A well-established freight forwarding and logistics company, based in Tilbury with excellent transport links, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Exports Logistics Executive to join its busy team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that handles multimodal cargo (Air, Sea, Road & Rail) and is an accredited AEO organisation, known for its strong customer service and commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers, hauliers, and carriers to ensure smooth export processes

• Book shipments with carriers and arrange collections to meet tight deadlines

• Complete customs declarations and ensure documentation complies with international regulations

• Raise and manage export documentation including manifests and certificates of origin

• Liaise with warehouses to confirm cargo is screened and weighed

• Monitor shipments to ensure they meet vessels/flights and finalise documentation accordingly

• Send pre-alerts to overseas agents, invoice customers, and follow up post-delivery

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in export operations (both airfreight and seafreight)

• Solid knowledge of customs declarations and export documentation

• Experience using CNS, Destin8, and ideally MultiFreight software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

• Excellent English and Maths skills

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Friendly personality and a collaborative team player
