Export Official Veterinarian

• Due to business growth, the company is looking for prospective candidates to work as Export Official Veterinarians in different locations in Great Britain.

Location

• Although the advertised role is for Glasgow, we are looking for Export Official Veterinarians nationally (England, Scotland, Wales).

The role

• The main purpose of this job is to provide veterinary certification of exports and support attestations of Products of Animal Origin (POAO) to EU and Non-EU Countries.

Responsibilities

• Acquainting with EHC requirements (Export Health Certification) and NFG (Notes for Guidance) for each export (for both EU and non-EU countries) in advance and keeping updated with new requirements and/or changes.


• Attending export locations (slaughterhouses, cutting plants, cold stores; meat and meat products establishments, retailers) to carry out export certification on-site to the highest standard.


• Accomplishing the best service on the market in accordance with the 10 Principles of Certification (RCVS).


• Keeping in touch with the exporter for the eventual required amendments.


• Be able to build rapport with the customers and their representatives.

Skills/Qualifications Required and Requisites

• Veterinary medicine degree.


• Full membership of The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons or ability to obtain it.


• Ideally, hold the OCQ(V) - EX (Exports General) and OCQ(V) - PX (Product Exports) qualifications. This is not essential as full training is provided.


• It will be highly valued if the candidate has previous experience in export certification and official control.


• UK or EEA citizens with right to work in the UK.


• In addition, Mistev Export Health Certification Ltd. can sponsor prospective candidates who would need visa to live and work in Great Britain.
