EXPORT PLANNER Location: Stallingborough, North East Lincolnshire Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Our client is a leading international shipping and freight forwarding business, specialising in direct transport services to Scandinavia and mainland Europe. They provide flexible, customised logistics solutions across road, sea and air freight, delivering outstanding service to customers throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Export Groupage Planner to join their busy operations team in Stallingborough.
The Role
As an Export Groupage Planner, you will play a key role in managing export groupage and part-load shipments from the UK and Ireland to Scandinavia. Working within a fast-paced logistics environment, you will coordinate transport movements, customs procedures and operational planning to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of freight.
Key Responsibilities
Manage export operations and administration for groupage and part-load shipments. Plan and coordinate Irish export freight transiting through the UK to Scandinavia. Liaise with transport planners, warehouse teams, shipping lines and customers. Work closely with colleagues across Scandinavia and Europe. Complete export customs clearances using Descartes and Destin8 systems. Prepare export transit documentation accurately and efficiently. Monitor shipments and proactively resolve operational issues. Participate in the department's on-call rota, including occasional evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport planning or groupage operations. Experience of export customs procedures and documentation (preferred). Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. The ability to prioritise workloads and make effective decisions under pressure. A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills. Good IT proficiency and the ability to learn new systems quickly. A proactive attitude and willingness to develop knowledge across different areas of the business. The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Hours of Work
Monday to Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Thursday and Friday: 9:00am - Finish Participation in a weekday evening on-call rota (additional allowance payable).
