Multimodal Import & Export Supervisor

My client is looking for an experienced Multimodal Import & Export Supervisor to lead a small operational team handling international shipments across Air, Sea, Road and Courier.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced freight-forwarding professional who enjoys operations but is also comfortable supervising and motivating a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight professional looking for a hands-on supervisory position with responsibility across multimodal Import and Export operations.

Experience & Skills

* Previous freight-forwarding experience.

* Strong Import and/or Export operational knowledge.

* Experience across Air, Sea and Road Freight.

* Previous supervisory/team-leading experience.

* Knowledge of customs procedures and CDS.

* Multifreight experience would be advantageous.

* Good commercial awareness and understanding of job costing.

* Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and support a small Import & Export operations team.

* Manage multimodal shipments across Air, Sea, Road and Courier.

* Ensure shipments, documentation and customer enquiries are handled accurately and on time.

* Maintain compliance with customs, CDS and ISO procedures.

* Manage job files using Multifreight SCS and Multished.

* Ensure accurate job costing, invoicing and month-end file completion.

* Liaise with customers, overseas agents, handling agents, shippers and consignees.

* Resolve routing delays, port congestion and other supply-chain issues.

* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise profitability.

* Motivate the team and maintain high operational and customer-service standards.

* Multifreight experience would be advantageous.

* Good commercial awareness and understanding of job costing.

* Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
