Job Description - External Sales Representative

External Sales Representative

  • Annual Salary: Circa £30,000 base salary + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance
  • Location: West Bromwich, Birmingham
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Hybrid Work with travel to prospective clients' offices.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading player in the communications industry based in the Midlands. They are seeking a dynamic External Sales Representative to drive new business and manage a number of key accounts within the Communications and Tech sector. This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record in business development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities in target sectors.
  • Develop tailored communication solutions that address real operational challenges.
  • Manage and expand relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring long-term growth and satisfaction.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and innovative prospecting strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within telecommunications, communications, or IT solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a drive to initiate and secure business opportunities.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities, adept at managing accounts and building long-term relationships.
  • Happy to travel to client meetings in and around the Midlands.
