Fabrication Assistant/Driver

Reed Engineering are working with a long established family run business who are in need of a Fabrication Assistant/Driver, where full training is provided. This role is ideal for someone with basic metalworking skills and familiarity with hand and power tools. You will play a crucial role in our fabrication workshop, assisting with material preparation and delivery processes.

• Assist main fabricators in preparing materials for welding, including using metal saws and drills.
• Finish fabrications by spraying work ready for delivery to customers.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, with training provided for forklift truck operation.
• Unload steel delivery lorries and manage material deliveries inwards and outwards.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health and safety regulations.

• Some basic metalworking skills.
• Familiarity with a fabrication workshop and the use of basic hand and power tools.
• Full driving license required.
• Ability to manage time effectively and organise work efficiently.
• Self-motivated with the confidence to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a conscientious approach to health and safety.

• Competitive hourly rate of £12.50 - £14.00, depending on experience.
• Comprehensive training provided, including forklift operation.
• Full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
• On-site free parking.
