The Opportunity

An established engineering and fabrication business based in Southampton is looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator Welder to join its growing workshop team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be fabricating bespoke frames, supports and structural fabrications using mild steel. You'll be working from engineering drawings, producing high-quality work for a range of industrial and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Fabricate frames, brackets, supports and bespoke assemblies from mild steel.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Measure, cut, prepare and assemble components.

* MIG weld fabricated assemblies to a high standard.

* Use fabrication equipment and workshop machinery safely.

* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.

* Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

* Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

* Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder.

* Strong fabrication skills working with mild steel.

* Confidence reading engineering drawings.

* Good MIG welding experience.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

* Pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
