Fab/Welder

ASME Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components to a high standard while working safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

* Fabricate and weld structural steelwork from engineering drawings.

* Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.

* Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.

* Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely.

* Assemble steel components accurately and within tolerances.

* Perform quality checks on completed work.

* Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

* Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Fabricator/Welder in a structural steel environment.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Competent in MIG welding (structural steel experience preferred).

* Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

* Able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

* Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

* CSCS Card.

* Overhead crane or forklift experience.

* Experience working with architectural or structural steel
