Facilities Assistant – About the Company
Our client is a successful and growing organisation looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join their team in Hatfield.
Working closely with the Facilities Manager / Health & Safety Officer, this role will provide day-to-day support across workplace facilities, supplier coordination, health & safety administration and general office operations.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys taking ownership of ensuring the workplace remains safe, compliant and well maintained.

Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day running of workplace facilities Act as a point of contact for colleagues, visitors, contractors and suppliers Support reception activities including visitor management and incoming calls Maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment across the site Coordinate maintenance requests, contractor visits and facilities-related actions Support supplier management including cleaning, maintenance and workplace services Maintain accurate facilities records, compliance documents and supplier information Assist with health & safety administration including audits, inspections and safety records Support fire safety processes, workplace checks and compliance requirements Coordinate facilities supplies, purchase requests and invoice administration Support office moves, meeting room preparation and workplace projects Identify improvements to facilities processes and colleague experience Facilities Assistant – What We’re Looking For
Previous experience within facilities, office administration, reception, workplace support or a similar role Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communicating with colleagues, visitors, suppliers and contractors Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities Good administrative skills including record keeping and document control Comfortable working in a hands-on role and supporting a wide range of facilities activities Good IT skills including Microsoft Office Positive, reliable and solution-focused approach Desirable:
Experience supporting facilities, maintenance, suppliers or contractors Experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment IOSH, NEBOSH or facilities-related qualification If you are interested in this role, please apply today with your CV.
