Facilities Assistant – Portering & Post Room
Location: Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy site in Southampton. This is a varied, hands-on role covering general facilities support, portering and post room duties.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised and happy to turn their hand to a range of tasks to help keep the site running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling incoming and outgoing post, including sorting and distributing mail across the site.
Collecting and delivering parcels, documents and internal deliveries.
Carrying out general portering duties, including moving equipment, furniture and supplies as required.
Supporting room setups and the movement of items around the building.
Assisting with general facilities tasks and day-to-day site requirements.
Maintaining tidy and organised post room and storage areas.
Providing a helpful and professional service to staff, visitors and contractors.
Reporting any maintenance issues or facilities concerns to the relevant team.Requirements:

Previous experience in facilities, portering, post room or a similar support role would be beneficial.
A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to carry out physical duties.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
A reliable and flexible approach to work.
Good communication skills and a professional manner.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
