Facilities Assistant

We're looking for a reliable and organised Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day running of an office at Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help keep the office running smoothly, deal with facilities requests and make sure colleagues have a safe and comfortable working environment.

Key responsibilities:

Manage facilities requests for the office, operational areas and car park.
Log requests on the CAFM system and ensure they're dealt with within agreed timescales.
Help with ordering stationery and catering supplies.
Report faults with office equipment and machinery.
Handle incoming and outgoing post.
Support the Facilities Officer and Facilities Manager with general facilities tasks as needed.
Provide a helpful and professional service to colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders.

Location: Building 800, Kent Science Park, Guillat Avenue, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8GU

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

This is a short-term, 4-week temporary position, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.

About you:

You're organised, reliable and able to manage day-to-day tasks effectively.
You have good communication and customer service skills.
You're comfortable dealing with facilities requests and general office duties.
You can work well with colleagues at all levels and liaise with external contractors when needed.
