Facilities, Health and Safety Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identifying and managing risk‑reduction activities
• Ensuring medical provision and work equipment meet legal standards
• Processing quotes and invoices through SAP
• Reporting and analysing accidents and incidents
• Liaising with insurers to support employee rehabilitation in long‑term absence cases
• Preparing reports and presentations for SLT meetings
• Maintaining documentation, systems and compliance records
• Supporting general Facilities tasks and wider Business Support Services activity

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confident with spreadsheets, data and analysis
• Effective communicator with great interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Project coordination and planning skills
• Budget awareness and understanding of business finance
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
