Facilities Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Support Compliance Activities - Building LEV (local exhaust ventilation), fire safety, legionella - assessing current stage and driving what needs to support continuous development. Problem analysis and solutions.
Review heating systems, chilled water systems, driving remedial actions through to completion.
Support project planning activities as needed
Asset replacement schedule - support a move to proactive maintenance.
Supporting process and procedure capability development.
Contractor/Vendor Management
Management of work permits for high-risk work.

Key Candidate Requirements:

Experienced Hard Services Manager - "been there done that".
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems commonly found in complex/advanced manufacturing facilities. Relevant qualifications would be desirable. For example, CIBSE.
R&D or Advanced Manufacturing Building experience.
Facilities & Building Maintenance background.
Record keeping experience
Demonstratable experience issuing contractor permits for high-risk activities. E.g work at height.
Good communication & stakeholder management skills
