This Outstanding academy, part of a supportive Multi-Academy Trust, requires a Facilities Manager who is committed to operational excellence. The school has excellent facilities, and the role demands a proactive approach to site management, ensuring the teaching and learning environment is consistently safe, compliant, and well-presented for the whole school community.

Core Responsibilities & Facilities Scope

• Team Management: Direct line management of the Caretaking and Site Assistant teams, including performance management and scheduling.


• Compliance & Safety: Responsibility for all statutory checks, preventative maintenance programmes, and managing the school's relationship with the local authority regarding premises.


• Lettings & Usage: Overseeing the logistical planning and security aspects related to evening and weekend community use and lettings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Contract:
  Full-Time, Permanent (52 weeks per year).


• Salary Range: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience.


• Essential Requirements: Relevant facilities management qualification (e.g., BIFM/IWFM) and extensive experience managing a large school site.


• Support:
  Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and collaborative working within a wider Trust facilities network.
