A well-established care provider is seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Officer to support the maintenance and refurbishment of its residential sites. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in general maintenance, painting, decorating, and carpentry, who is passionate about creating safe and welcoming environments.

Refurbishment & Maintenance

• Carry out general repair and maintenance tasks across multiple sites.
• Assist with painting, decorating, and carpentry works.
• Support the moving and storage of furniture and equipment.

Administration

• Report defects and respond to maintenance requests.
• Complete relevant documentation and administrative tasks as required.

Safety & Risk Assessment

• Ensure safe usage and storage of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
• Assist with regular testing of alarm systems and fire safety equipment.
• Record and report any defects or actions taken.

Professional Responsibility

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of work and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up to date with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Raise any concerns or issues with supervisory staff.

Skills & Experience

• Technical awareness of maintenance trades (e.g., plumbing, electricity, heating).
• Understanding of Environmental and Health & Safety legislation.
• Familiarity with COSHH regulations.
