Job Advert: Facilities Officer (Temporary Position)

Location: Chatham
Contract Type: Temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent
Hourly Rate: £12.73 - £13.77 depending on experience
Working Pattern: 6am - 1:30pm or 1:30pm - 8pm, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

As a Facilities Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation's facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing a professional front-of-house service, welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments
Raising and log maintenance and facilities requests accurately using internal systems, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate team
Conducting regular inspections of the premises to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
Coordinating maintenance and repair work, liaising with contractors to ensure timely completion
Managing the day-to-day facilities operations, including waste management and health and safety compliance
Supporting the organisation's events and activities by setting up spaces and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources
Assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures related to facility managementIdeal Candidate:

A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with staff and contractors
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Relevant experience in facilities management or a similar role is preferred but not essential
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
