Job Description - Facilities / Operations Manager

Your new company
Our client are a large, well-known London landmark & destination with an iconic estate in Central London. They are hiring an Operations Manager to support the day-to-day function of their soft services facilities functions.
Your new role
As Operations Manager, you will support the Head of Operations and other managers in delivering soft services functions, as well as front of house and administration, for their large London site. Key duties will include:

  • Management of the reception and administration team
  • Coordinating waste, cleaning, staff catering, and pest management contracts
  • Front and back of house daily checks
  • Support management of the helpdesk service
  • Support managers in crowd control and queue management (site is open to the public)
  • Ensure visitors receive a warm welcome and that administration tasks are delivered on-time


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in managing front-of-house, administration and other soft service facilities functions, ideally within a large public sector site with public visitors. You will require experience in:

  • Managing reception and admin teams
  • Managing waste, pest control, cleaning, catering and similar functions
  • Supervising helpdesk services
  • Working in a destination environment or similar with high volumes of public footfall
  • Line management experience
