We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities & Operations Manager to join our dynamic team based in London. In this role you will be responsible for setting up our brand new laboratory and oversee the management of all aspects of laboratory equipment, resources and supply planning and execution including procurement, installation, calibration, maintenance, employee training, and equipment alarm system and schedule maintenance with the lab operations team.

Our clients are currently pioneering with their mission in translating world leading research in NMT into a pipeline of first-in-class ADC medicines for cancer!

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage biological, environmental, health and safety

policies/procedures,

benchmarks safety programs and techniques to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation;
Manage and coordinate shipments (in/out) to ensure they are processed effectively and accurately.
Manage our inventory system, coordinate sample management in collaboration with the R&D team.
Manage electronic data collection methods and sample management and archiving, including electronic inventory system (ELN) compliance, procurement systems, and inventory systems.
Maintaining facility budget, accurate spending projections, identifying significant capital spend requirements during budget preparation and coordinating negotiations with vendors and third-party contractors.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective contracts are in place.
Onboard new laboratory-based hires & ensuring proper Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) program and maintain training records.
Primary contact with landlord, building issues and emergency calls.

Office management
Manage day to day running of the office, ensuring all operations are carried out in an appropriate cost-effective way.
Raise and processing invoices and Purchase Orders for the office where required.
Work alongside other functions e.g. IT to ensure smooth running of the office.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of setting up and managing a laboratory in a

pharmaceutical/biotechnology

industry setting including setting SOPs and selecting equipment.
Experience managing budgets, negotiating terms of business, managing 3rd parties and tackling logistics challenge
Experience running an office – organising and holding meetings and events.
Understanding of EHS and protocols.
Motivation to ‘wear many hats’ and adapt quickly to new challenges
