Job Description - Facilities Technician

Pertemps are recruiting for a facilities technician to join our clients on-site engineering team based out of St Athan on a permanent basis.

Location: St Athan

Shifts: Monday - Friday 39 hours.

Salary: DOE

The Role:

As a facilities technician you will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance on all facilities across the site in a safe manner in line with all Health and Safety requirements.
Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on building fabric, facilities equipment, and site infrastructure with minimal disruption to production.
Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and contribute to its ongoing development and improvement.
Carry out all required work in line with all appropriate risk assessments
Identify ways of improving current maintenance schedule and assist in implementation of new systems
Work with sub-contractors to ensure work complies with site requirements
To work independently and part of team to support continuous improvement
Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
Provide "out-of-hours" reactive support as and when required

Requirements:

Skills and Experience:
Experience in fabrication, welding, and basic electrical wiring
Hands-on experience with HVAC, AHUs, boilers, compressed air systems, and water treatment
Knowledge of Health & Safety systems, risk assessments, and CAFM/CMMS platforms
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Essential:

NVQ Level 2 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
18th Edition Electrical
IPAF

Desirable:

NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Engineering
F-Gas Certification
Electrical Testing & Inspection
Gas Safe
Forklift
