Job Description - Facilities/Site Manager School Academy

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed School Facilities/Site Manager to work within an Estates team. The successful candidate will be based in Cheshunt and will work flexibly at other local locations.

Hours of work are 8.00 am – 4.00 pm Monday – Thursday Friday 8.00 am 3.30 pm with some flexibility to work outside of these hours. There is also an excellent range of benefits.
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience of working in facilities management, ideally in education or leisure
A knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Have a commitment to working with young people in a school environment
Be practical and have good general DIY skills, plus an ability to develop these skills
Be a proficient user of Technology including Excel
Have high levels of physical fitness, this is required for some of the hands-on duties required. There will be occasions that you may be required to work at height
Offer flexibility to work additional hours/days if required
High levels of energy and resilience
Be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
Plan, organise and schedule work as well as managing departmental rota’s
Strive for excellence and be committed to continual improvement
Review and improving site security
Manage site utilities and contribute to ideas for energy saving initiatives
Supervise site cleaning
The ability to work both independently as part of a close-knit team
Be confident resolving problems and offering solutions
