Factory Operative Nights

A great opportunity has arisen with one of our long-standing engineering clients for a permanent Factory Operative to join their Casting department in the Medway area, initially on a temporary basis with an opportunity for a permanent role.

Training will take place on the day shift-Monday-Thursday 06:00-16:30; Friday 06:00-14:30 with a pay rate of £13.94 per hour during training. After successful completion, the job will transfer to nights, Monday-Thursday 18.00-06.00, with an hourly rate of £15.80 per hour.

Previous factory or manufacturing experience is required, but full training will be provided.

The Role

You will support the safe and efficient running of the Casting department, carrying out a range of production duties, including:

Operating and loading/unloading robots
Carrying out hand dipping
Mixing and testing slurry
Operating the boilerclave
Processing components in line with work instructions
Completing production records and job cards
Carrying out quality checks
Following health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly
Carrying out manual handling duties safely

Experienced in a factory or manufacturing environment
Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
Able to follow written instructions and procedures
Detail-oriented and committed to quality
A good team player with strong communication skills
Comfortable with manual handling
Willing to learn and complete relevant trainingFull training will be provided for the role, making this a great opportunity to develop your skills within an established engineering environment
