An exciting career opportunity has arisen in the heart of the London reinsurance market to join a vibrant team of wholesale facultative broking specialists, as a cross class Reinsurance Broker.

Our Client

And hopefully 'your new company' is a well established, truly independent Lloyd's Broker, who enjoy a client base emanting mainly from Africa.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery - both client and market facing, but be fully supported and where required, trained.

• Work with clients to ensure accurate risk details are obtained.


• Oversee the preparation of broking presentations.


• Identify suitable markets and devise a placement strategy.


• Lead negotiations with syndicate, company and overseas markets.


• Maintain and develop strong market and and client relationships.


• Collaborate within the team to explore new business opportunities.

Regional Responsibility

You will have direct responsibility for both new business and renewal enquiries emanating mainly from;

• Africa, with an empasis on Sub Sahara, West Africa and Nigeria.

Experience and required skills;

The ideal candidate will have;

• At least three years London market experience (class of business expereince not important as full trainingwill be given).


• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Relevant London market and international market experience.


• An eye for detail, so able to provide accurate documentation.


• Values good market, client and colleague relationships.


• Is able to work both in a team and independently.


• Can work to deadlines and has an eye for detail.


• Positive attitude, fun to work with and a desire to always do your best for your clients.
