Job Description

The role of Family Law Paralegal involves providing comprehensive legal support within a busy family law department. The successful candidate undertakes a variety of tasks to assist solicitors in delivering high-quality legal services to clients. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and draught legal documents such as court forms, witness statements, letters, and agreements in accordance with client instructions and legal requirements.
Assist in the preparation of cases for court hearings, including collating evidence and organising bundles.
Liaise with clients, court staff, experts, and other relevant parties to facilitate case progression and maintain clear communication.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and firm policies.
Conduct legal research and summarise relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules related to family law matters.
Support solicitors in managing client enquiries and provide timely updates on case progress.
Assist with financial disclosure processes, including gathering and organising financial documents.
Manage diaries and appointments, coordinating meetings and court dates as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of office procedures and support the efficient running of the department.
