A respected Top 200 UK law firm, established in 1856 and recognised for its leading private client and family law services, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing and forward-looking team. You will handle a wide range of family and matrimonial law matters, managing your own caseload and contributing to departmental growth. This role suits a lawyer looking for flexibility and the opportunity to take a lead in high-quality, client-focused work.
Your caseload will include:
Divorce and separation
Financial proceedings (including complex assets, business interests, and pensions)
Private law children disputes
Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
Cohabitation and separation agreements
Additional involvement may include:
Business development and client relationship management
Supporting firm-wide marketing initiatives
Conducting your own advocacy (where appropriate)
Advising agricultural clients or clients with business interests
Provide excellent client service and maintain long-term relationships
Develop and expand the family law team and service offering
Manage your own fee-earning targets and contribute to team goals
Maintain awareness of legal developments and commercial trends in family law
Work within compliance, risk and financial protocols (e.g., AML, billing, time recording)
Essential:
Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant experience in family law
Proven ability to manage a full family caseload with minimal supervision
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
Confident with case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Experience with clients in agriculture or those with business interests
Mediation/collaborative law experience
Public speaking and/or seminar delivery experience
Previous involvement in marketing or networking events
Experience conducting own advocacy in family courts
Location: Flexible across offices in Lincolnshire and the Midlands
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:15pm (36.25 hours/week)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
