Family Paralegal

Salary: £27,000
Job Type: Full-time, or Part Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal with a genuine interest in family law to join a well-established team. You'll work alongside experienced solicitors and fee earners on a varied and sensitive caseload, supporting clients through some of the most important and challenging times in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting solicitors with a range of family law matters including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, and domestic abuse cases
• Drafting legal documents, court forms, and correspondence
• Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
• Managing and maintaining case files and ensuring all information is kept up to date
• Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner
• Attending client meetings and taking detailed notes
• Supporting the preparation of bundles for court hearings

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a paralegal role, ideally within family law
• A strong academic background, with a law degree or equivalent legal qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of empathy and emotional intelligence when working with vulnerable clients
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload
• A proactive and team-focused attitude
