Family Safeguarding Social Worker - Haverfordwest

About the Role

We're working with a well-regarded Local Authority seeking an experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join their service in Haverfordwest. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children and families, working within a supportive, structured safeguarding framework.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake initial and core assessments in line with the Assessment Framework
Develop effective care plans and tailored support packages
Carry out statutory duties for children looked after
Manage cases involving children on Care and Support Protection Plans
Support children on Care and Support Plans
Participate in and manage care proceedings
Accurately input and maintain records on CareFirst
Work in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures and Child Care Procedures
Undertake any additional tasks as required within the service

What We're Looking For

Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
Experience in children's safeguarding and statutory work
Strong assessment, planning and court work experience
Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively
Knowledge of Welsh safeguarding frameworks (desirable)
