A respected regional law firm in Bolton is seeking a capable and committed Family Law Solicitor to lead its family department. I'm currently working with the firm to identify strong candidates for this key leadership role.

? The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience to step into a Head of Department position. You'll manage your own caseload of family law matters-both privately funded and legal aid-while overseeing the strategic and operational development of the department.

Your caseload will include:

Divorce and separation

Financial remedy proceedings

Private children law matters

Cohabitation and pre/post-nuptial agreements

Domestic abuse injunctions

Legal aid matters, including care proceedings and emergency applications

You'll be supported by a small, dedicated team and have the opportunity to shape and grow the department.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 2 years' PQE in family law

Have experience managing a varied caseload independently

Be confident handling both private and legal aid matters

Demonstrate leadership potential or prior supervisory experience

Be commercially minded and proactive in business development

Possess excellent interpersonal and client care skills
