Family Lawyer – Full-Time – Legal 500 Ranked Firm

A leading Legal 500-ranked law firm is seeking an experienced and empathetic Family Lawyer to join its dynamic legal team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated family law Solicitor to manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, domestic abuse and cohabitation matters.

This is a firm that does not hinge progression on PQE – development and progression is based on merit!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and progress a broad caseload of private family law matters
• Advise clients on divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, child arrangements and injunctions
• Draft a range of legal documents including court applications, witness statements, consent orders and financial agreements
• Represent clients at court (where appropriate) and work collaboratively with barristers and external counsel
• Conduct negotiations and support alternative dispute resolution processes
• Provide high-quality client care with regular updates and clear communication
• Maintain accurate file notes and ensure compliance with firm policies and SRA regulations
• Take part in internal team meetings, legal knowledge sharing and external business development initiatives

Your Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
• Minimum 3 years’ PQE in family law (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of UK family law, court procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently
• Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
• Compassionate and professional approach to handling sensitive client matters
• Proficient with legal case management systems
• Motivated to contribute to the firm’s business development and growth
