The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join the busy and growing team in their Nottingham office. The role offers high-quality, varied work with a supportive and experienced team.

• Manage a broad caseload of family law matters, including:
  
  
• Financial remedy cases (mid to high-net-worth)
  
  
• Private children matters
  
  
• Cohabitation and TOLATA issues
  
  
• Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  
  
• Draft and review a wide range of legal documents
  
  
• Work closely with senior solicitors and partners to develop your legal skills
  
  
• Deliver empathetic, client-centred service to a diverse client base
  
  
• Undertake legal research and apply relevant legislation to real-world situations
  
  
• Engage in business development and marketing to support the team’s continued growth
  
  
• Support and mentor junior colleagues when required
  
  
• Record time and bill accurately in line with firm procedures

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ–3 years PQE) or equivalent (CILEX also considered)
    
    
  • Experience or seat in family law, including exposure to finances, children, or cohabitation work
    
    
  • Able to prioritise and manage a varied caseload efficiently
    
    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    
    
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
    
    
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and grow
    
    
  • Empathetic and professional when dealing with sensitive client issues
