Family Solicitor (Team Leader/HOD)

Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly reputable law firm based in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Family Solicitor who is keen to manage and develop a team. This is a permanent, full-time job role offering an excellent salary of up to £50,000 (dependent on experience) along with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (which rises with service), hybrid working, enhanced sick pay, death in service and healthcare cashback scheme.

About the Role

As the incoming Family Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of private family matters and support junior team members either as a Team Leader or Head of Department, with a clear pathway to progressing into the Head of Department role. Your caseload will include:

• Divorce

• Civil Partnerships
• Prenuptial and Postnuptial agreements
• Finance, including complex financial matters
• Cohabitation disputes

About You

You will be an experienced Family Solicitor with a proven track record managing a private family law caseload. Ideally, you will already be leading a team and eager to develop it further or be an ambitious Solicitor ready to take on a Team Leader role with the opportunity to become Head of Department. You will also demonstrate:

• Strong technical experience across a broad range of family law matters
• Confidence with advocacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Professional, approachable, and friendly demeanour
• Genuine interest in supervising and developing both the team and department
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
